The Grand River Conservation Authority is asking residents and companies to chop again on their water use as a result of scorching and dry climate southern Ontario has been experiencing.

The Grand River watershed has been positioned in a Level 1 situation which comes with a request for a voluntary 10 per cent discount in water consumption.

Guelph moved its water utilization program to Level 1 Yellow earlier this week.

The conservation authority mentioned some components of the watershed haven’t recorded any rain because the final week of June.

The main reservoirs are inside their regular working vary for this time of yr, based on a press release launched on Thursday.

Environment Canada mentioned the short-term climate forecast reveals restricted rain and scorching temperatures over the following week.
