A Conservative MP who wished to stay nameless advised CBC News that Bernier was eliminated due to his resolution final week to publish on his web site a chapter from his e-book, wherein the MP stated Scheer’s victory as social gathering chief was owed to “fake Conservatives” who solely joined the social gathering to defend provide administration within the dairy trade.
“What was more offensive than his attack on supply management was the attack on our supporters, quite frankly, calling them fake Conservatives, or nefarious paper millionaires,” the MP stated.
In April, Bernier publicly launched a chapter of that e-book, prompting a number of Conservatives to query whether or not Bernier was difficult Scheer’s management. Bernier later determined to tug the e-book from circulation and took to Twitter to clarify his resolution.
“I realize that whatever I write, it will always be interpreted as me creating division and challenging our leader.” Bernier wrote that the e-book was supposed to concentrate on concepts, not the management marketing campaign. “After consideration, for the sake of maintaining harmony within our party, I have decided to postpone its publication indefinitely.”

Bernier additionally garnered unfavorable consideration for the social gathering by participating in a heated debate on Twitter with Liberal MP Celina Caesar-Chavannes over racism in Canada.
In that trade, Bernier recommended Caesar-Chavannes believes “the world revolves around [her] skin colour.”
