Now that his groundbreaking TV present, The Simpsons, set the document for the longest-running TV collection ever — an astounding 639 episodes — creator Matt Groening is premiering a brand new collection on Netflix this summer season.

Called Disenchantment, the present is animated and meant for adults. It takes place within the “crumbling medieval kingdom” of Dreamland, the place viewers will comply with the misadventures of hard-drinking princess Bean (Abbi Jacobson), her elf companion Elfo (Nat Faxon) and her very personal private demon Luci (Eric André).

According to a press release launched by Netflix, animation is being executed by Rough Draft Studios, the oldsters who introduced us Futurama. The present is produced by The ULULU Company for Netflix, with Matt Groening and Josh Weinstein serving as government producers.

Ten episodes can be made obtainable for Season 1.

This would be the third animated collection by Groening and his first to seem on a streaming service. It’s additionally his first new TV creation since 1999.

Since its premiere in 1989, The Simpsons has garnered greater than 30 Emmy Awards.

‘Disenchantment’ is ready to premiere on Netflix on Aug. 17.
