A dozen attractions in Disneyland, California, were affected by a blackout on Wednesday, as the famous park experiences a seasonal peak of activity.

Dipped in the dark, visitors were forced to evacuate several attractions Mickey's parks Toontown and Fantasyland, as well as the monorail that runs through the park and connects the sites, said the local press.

"We found that the problem came from a Disneyland Resort processor, our crews are working to restore electricity," said Disneyland in a statement.

"The power has been restored in Toontown and some areas of the park are still without electricity," said site spokeswoman Suzi Brown. "The rest of the park is open," she said.

The incident took place at 11:00 local time.

At this time of Christmas, the Californian amusement park reaches almost full capacity of visitors
